Now Mixed-Up Mutts and Prison Tails are pleased to offer our services to the public! This new program, Express Train, gives you the opportunity to get your dog on the right track.

We offer 4-week obedience training for $300 and 8-week obedience training for $500.
Dogs are kept with their handlers in a dormitory setting 24/7.
Dogs must be neutered/spayed and up to date on vaccinations, heartworm, and flea prevention.
We provide food, treats, bedding, and toys.
At the end of the session you will receive a training manual, demonstration and personalized training video featuring your dog with his handler performing their obedience skills.

Remember, you will have some work to do when your furry friend returns home. His training will only be effective if you continue to practice. Obedience training is an exercise in leadership and your dog WANTS you to lead him.

How to Register:

2. If you are ready to register, simply fill out our Express Train Registration form.

3. Once your registration form is received, you will be notified as to which date is available. Space is very limited so we take dogs on a first come/paid, first served basis. If the date you requested is already filled, you will have the option of the next available date or a refund. All payments and phone calls regarding the dogs must be made to Mixed Up Mutts at their address & phone #. Please do not send anything to or contact Westville Correctional Facility as they cannot help you.

*Prison Tails provides an obedience training program. Aggressive and instinctual behaviors such as resource guarding & herding can be addressed but we cannot nor will not guarantee that any such problems will be resolved. Dogs that have harmed a person or another dog will not be allowed in the program.*

All adoptions, drop-offs, pick ups, & meet~n~greets of all the Prison Tails or Express Train dogs are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and they take place in the parking lot of Westville Correctional Facility. The facility address is 5501 S. 1100 W. Westville, IN 46391. Westville is on CDT. Unless otherwise noted, we meet in the north parking lot near the white guard shack by the fence. (Please dress for the weather as we will remain outside) Normally, a dog handler will be on hand with the Program Director to help with the dogs &/or to demonstrate the dog's training.
