Prison Tails Wish List
Below is our Prison Tails wish list for items that we use on a regular basis Due to IDOC policy, there are certain items that we are not able to utilize. We also have all the dogs on a special diet so we only take a specific dog food. However, if you are not sure if the item you wish to donate is appropriate, just give us a call! IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO FOSTER A DOG, PLEASE CONSIDER A SPONSORSHIP FOR SOME OF OUR LONG TERM DOGS. YOUR SUPPORT HELPS US TO CONTINUE TO HELP THEM
Also, we need you! If you can donate your time to work adoption events, transport animals or help out with fundraising or public awareness efforts, we can always use more help.
Do you have a student group who would like to help with a community service project? Tag Days are the perfect way! We will supply you with brochures and a cute dog or two while you supply the kids! Who can resist donating to kids and doggies?
If you are a person experienced in canine obedience training and/or behavioral training, agility, flyball, or any other canine training or sporting activity, and would like to volunteer a few hours a week at the prison or be a guest presenter, please contact us at info@mixedupmutts.org. Even if you don't have the above experience but are a people person and love to hang out with a large pack of dogs, you can still become a Prison Tails volunteer. We can always use help with adoptions, transports, and handler classwork. (All volunteers with the IDOC must pass a background check)
